Frequently Asked Questions

This service offers an expert review of your submitted headache or facial pain records by a board-certified neurologist and headache specialist (one of only ~700 in the US). You’ll receive my clinical impressions, educational information and guidance from a headache specialist for further testing or treatments to discuss with your local doctor. It is strictly informational and does not create a physician-patient relationship, diagnose conditions, or provide medical treatment directly. This service does not replace in-person care or ongoing treatment with your normal doctor.

It’s ideal for anyone with ongoing headache or facial pain disorders of any type, including migraines, cluster headaches, tension headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, or any other unclear headache or facial pain conditions, who want additional headache specialist insights and guidance to discuss with their local doctor.

  1. Submit your case securely online via an intake questionnaire and uploaded records including lab results, office visits, radiology reports, and brain MRI and CT images.
  2. I review your materials thoroughly.
  3. After completing the intake questionnaire and receiving full uploaded records, you’ll receive a secure link to schedule a HIPAA-compliant video call (Google Meet or Zoom) lasting up to 60-minutes.
  4. Within 7 business days of completing the video call, you receive a detailed PDF report of my clinical impressions regarding your headache or facial pain, along with further testing and treatment guidance to discuss with your local doctor via secure portal. The entire process is virtual—no in-person visits required.

We focus on any type of headache and/or facial pain disorders, including chronic migraines, episodic migraines, cluster headaches, tension-type headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, occipital neuralgia, post-traumatic headaches, and any other primary (no other cause for the headache) or secondary (caused from something else) headache or facial pain conditions.

No. This is an informational consultation only. No physician-patient relationship is formed at any stage, including during the video call or follow-up messaging. I do not provide definitive diagnoses, prescriptions, ongoing care, or emergency services. All recommendations are educational and must be discussed with your treating physician to consider implementing my guidance on the most likely headache or facial pain disorders, further testing, and treatment considerations.

The one-time fee is $600, which covers the record review, video call, and detailed written report. This is a self-pay concierge service and not reimbursable by insurance. There are no subsequent add-on or additional fees for the service.

No. This service is self-pay only and does not qualify for insurance reimbursement, including Medicare or Medicaid. We do not provide CPT codes or file claims. Check with your employer for potential FSA/HSA eligibility.

Yes, we welcome patients outside the U.S., but the records must be provided and translated into English prior to upload. An English translator is also required and would need to be coordinated by the user for the video call. Service availability for the video call may vary by country.

Reports are delivered within 7 business days after the video call has been completed.

All medical records related to your headache or facial pain disorder(s) including office notes, any MRI and CT of the brain and cervical spine (both typed radiology reports and uploaded images from a CD), lab results, current medication lists, and treatment history. The intake questionnaire will also go through a series of questions regarding your headache or facial pain symptoms, past treatments, other medical history, and a variety of other questions. Incomplete record or imaging submissions may delay processing.

Yes. We use HIPAA-compliant tools for uploads, temporary data storage, video calls, and report delivery, including encryption and secure portals. Access is limited, and files are deleted after a reasonable period (e.g., 60–90 days post-delivery) unless required by law. Your privacy is protected under our privacy policy.

The 60-minute video call (via HIPAA-compliant Google Meet or Zoom) is for reviewing your symptoms, history, and clarification questions that I may still need to ask you. It does not involve definitive diagnosis or providing direct treatment. You’ll receive a secure link to schedule the video all after all records have been successfully submitted. The video call may not take the full 60 minutes, but the meetings are scheduled in 60-minute time slots to ensure appropriate time if needed for more complex cases.

No. The report is provided to only you for sharing with your treating physician at your discretion. You are free to print off the PDF report and take it to discuss results with your local doctor. We do not contact or consult with other health care providers.

Follow-up questions via secure messaging are included for clarification on the report if needed. This does not extend to new consultations, new symptoms, or ongoing advice, and no doctor-patient relationship is established for ongoing management.

Full refunds (minus $50 processing fees) are issued if your case is deemed unsuitable (e.g., incomplete or no records provided) before review begins. Once review starts or the report is delivered, all sales are final due to the customized and time-intensive nature of this unique service.

Contact us at [email protected]. We’ll guide you through alternatives (e.g., secure email for uploads). Ensure you’re using a supported browser and device for HIPAA-compliant tools.

No. This service is for adults 18+ only.

This service is not for emergencies. If symptoms change or worsen, contact your primary doctor or seek immediate medical attention. We do not provide urgent care recommendations or monitoring.
