Unfortunately, this is a very tough and often resistant form of headache which is commonly seen. Treatments are the same as those used for other headache disorders such as chronic migraine including Botox, antiseizure medications (Neurontin, Topamax, others), antidepressants/antianxiety meds (TCAs and SNRIs), some sometimes some of the blood pressure meds used to treat migraine (Propranolol, Metoprolol, Nadolol, Candesartan, Lisinopril, Verapamil), among others.
